Cheap Airline Tickets to New York (JFK)
The city of New York is well-served by three of the busiest airports in the country, but by far the busiest and biggest is John F. Kennedy International Airport (airport code JFK), which is better known by its three-letter airport code. In fact, although JFK airport is the primary international gateway to and from the United States, that is only one reason why it is so busy. JFK is JetBlue's home airport and a major hub for Delta Airlines and American Airlines, and you can find a list of all the airlines which fly in and out of JFK on this page. For current information about incoming and outgoing flights, consult the flight tracker on this page of the airport's website.
Like any giant airport, JFK is easy enough to navigate once you are there, but in case you want to get your bearings ahead of time you can check out the restaurants and shops which are available at the airport here. JFK airport is located roughly 12 miles from Manhattan, but because of New York's notorious traffic the trip can seem infinitely longer. You can find out about your ground transportation options here, or learn more about specifically getting from JFK into Manhattan on the AirTrain, and if you are driving your own car to the airport you can get driving directions here. And do not forget to pre-book your JFK airport parking before you leave home, which will help you save time and money on your travel days.
For other options when traveling to and from the New York area, you can look into flights in and out of LaGuardia Airport (airport code LGA) and Newark Liberty International Airport (airport code EWR) in nearby Newark, New Jersey. All three are located within a reasonable enough distance from New York that they are all viable options if you are visiting the city.
